WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Food and Drug Administration has said Kind Bars do not meet the requirements to be tagged as "healthy," according to Bloomberg.
The FDA said said the Kind bars -- Fruit & Nut Almond & Apricot, Fruit & Nut Almond & Coconut, Plus Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein and Fruit & Nut Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew -- exceed the maximum levels of saturated fat to be called healthy. The FDA says anything using the tag must have less than 1 gram, Bloomberg said.
The FDA could order the snack bars off shelves until Kind LLC complies with labeling restrictions, Bloomberg reported.
