Woman Crushed Between Vehicles Rushed To Westchester Medical Center
A 34-year-old woman received serious leg injuries when she was crushed between two vehicles in Orange County in what police are saying is a "freak accident." The incident took place around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday on Mid Oaks Road in Monroe when the unidentified woman, who works for a cleaning company, walked out to one of two vehicles parked in an inclined driveway to retrieve supplies, said Monroe Police Sgt. Mount Vernon Man Falls To His Death Adjusting Third-Floor Air Conditioner
A 56-year-old man reaching to fix his window air conditioner fell to his death in Westchester County. Walker Clark of Mount Vernon fell out a third-floor window around 12 a.m. Friday of an apartment building at 630 Gramatan Ave., said Maria Donovan, spokeswoman for the Mount Vernon Police. Clark was attempting to adjust the air conditioner when he fell more than 30 feet to the ground, Donovan said.

Woman Hits Gas Instead Of Brake, Ends Up In Pool, Police Say
A woman who thought she was hitting the brake on her vehicle, but instead hit the gas, ended up at the bottom of a clubhouse pool, police said. The incident took place around 9 a.m. Monday in rainy conditions at the Retreat Senior Living community on Langdon Grove off Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel, said Carmel Police Lt. John Dearman. Darman said the 67-year-old Carmel woman told officers she thought she was stepping on the brake, but instead hit the gas, jumped a curb and drove through a fence before ending up in the bottom of the pool. 25-Year-Old Dies After Fall From Bucket Truck In Hudson Valley
A 25-year-old man who fell from a bucket truck while working on Monday has died, police announced on Thursday. Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry Thoelen said he was notified late Wednesday by the Orange County Medica Examiner's Office of the death. The man worked for JMH Tree Service, which lists a Middletown address. Fire officials said the man fell 30 to 40 feet near 15 Highland Ave. around 12:48 p.m. Monday. The man was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center by Mobile Life Supports ambulance. Thoelen said they could not release the man's identity pending notification of his family.

State Trooper Injured After Cruiser Overturns In Route 9 Crash
A New York State Police trooper suffered injuries after being involved in a one-car crash in the Hudson Valley. New York State Police in Livingston are investigating the crash, which took place in a patrol vehicle being driven by trooper Theresa Filippini at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday night on Route 9 in Stockport in Columbia County. Investigators said that Filippini was driving a marked state patrol vehicle southbound on Route 9 near the Columbiaville Bridge, when she struck an embankment and tree before the car was overturned. Car Slams Into Storefront Of Area Pharmacy
A driver hit the gas instead of the brake and slammed into the front of the Rite Aid pharmacy in Mahopac, closing the business, according to Carmel Police. The incident took place around 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Mahopac Village Shopping Centre on Route 6 in Mahopac, police said. No one was injured, but the building was asked to close until it could be inspected for structural soundness, Carmel Police said. All all of the other businesses in the plaza remain open.

SUV Slams Into Pharmacy In Westchester
This story has been updated. An SUV slammed into the front of a pharmacy in Northern Westchester, sending glass and merchandise flying. The crash took place around 12:22 p.m. Friday at the Pleasantville Pharmacy at 63 Wheeler Ave.in Pleasantville, said Pleasantville Police Chief Erik Grutzner. Man Struck, Killed By Train In Area
Police have identified a man who was fatally struck by a train in Rockland County on Tuesday night. The Orangetown Police Department received a call at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, from a passerby who saw a man struck by a train on the CSX rail line just south of Bradley Hill Road. Officers arrived at the scene and tracked down the man, who has since been identified as Blauvelt resident Enda Caulfield, 36. Mulitple people have been hospitalized following a crash between a small school bus and a car in Scarsdale. Scarsdale dispatchers said the crash that occurred around 4:30 p.m. Friday, has blocked traffic in the area at Fenimore Road and Brite Avenue. A woman was hospitalized after being pinned between two vehicles near an elementary school in Westchester. Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 24-year-old Valley Road resident Sinying Lin was involved in a minor crash on Montrose Road in Scarsdale, near the Greenacres Elementary School, when she backed her Volvo into a Toyota that was parked next to her. Funeral services have been scheduled for a music producer from Northern Westchester who died at age 26 after being struck by a car while walking in Los Angeles. Relatives and friends of Louis Conway of Somers are welcome to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, June 24 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. Car Slams Into Popular Dog Daycare Business In Area
Luckily no dogs, or humans, were hurt when a car slammed into the front of Pawsitively Petastic on Route 6 in Mahopac. The crash happened around 10 a.m. Wednesday when a person who had just dropped off their pet at the popular dog hotel and daycare drove into the front of the building at 395 Route 6, said the owner, Lia Herlihy.
