The show explores the irony of privilege in opulent settings, spotlighting the self-destructive habits of the ultra-rich.
That environment was Hawaii when the show, created, written, and directed by Mike White, debuted in the summer of 2021.
Season 2 premiered in the fall of 2022 and was filmed in Sicily.
As for Season 4, the 54-year-old White, who was a contestant on Survivor in 2018, says several potential locations will be scouted over the summer.
A source told Deadline that a return to Europe could be coming, but "everything is on the table," with no decisions made yet.
It is likely that a Four Seasons hotel will once again play a key role, serving as a fictional White Lotus resort.
So far, speculation has centered on the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons hotel located on the French Riviera.
