Mount Vernon Woman Charged With DWI In I-84 Stop

Several Hudson Valley residents were among nearly two dozen motorists taken off the roads by New York State Police troopers for alleged impaired driving over the weekend.

Orange County

  • On Saturday, Friday, Feb. 8, State Police troopers from Montgomery arrested Paul Samwell, 47 of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Hasbrouk Street in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. While speaking to the troopers, Samwell attempted to flee the scene on foot. After a brief foot pursuit he was taken into custody and charged with DWI, Obstruction of Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest, all misdemeanors. 
  • On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police troopers from Monroe arrested James Delaney, 26 of Warwick, for DWI. He was traveling on Kings Highway in Warwick when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police troopers from Montgomery arrested Lorenzo Bazan, 58 of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Water Street in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police troopers from Monroe arrested Kenneth Maier, 29 of Goshen, for DWI. He was traveling on Grand Street in Warwick when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police troopers from Middletown arrested Adonis Collado-Martinez, 21 of Middletown, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 17 in Wallkill when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police troopers from Hamptonburg arrested Robert Granieri, 52 of Wallkill, for DWI. He was traveling on John Street in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police troopers from Highland arrested David Arcuri, 31 of Walden, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 299 in Lloyd when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

Westchester County

  • On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police troopers from Montgomery arrested Jacqueline Shkreli, 23 of Mount Vernon, for DWI. She was traveling West on I-84 in Newburgh when she was involved in a two-car vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police troopers from Montgomery arrested Parrish Bennett, 24 of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on 9W in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police Highland arrested Uriel Martinez Geminiano, 34 of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 299 in New Paltz when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

Rockland County

  • On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police troopers from Haverstraw arrested Felipe Duran Carrizal, 31 of Spring Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on Maple Avenue in Spring Valley when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
