'Sexually Violent' Offender Convicted Of Abusing Four Children Reports Move In Mount Vernon

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 53-year-old Michael Dos Santos, who has moved to a residence on Glen Avenue in Mount Vernon.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Dos Santos as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Dos Santos had deviate sexual intercourse with a 4, 5, 6 and 8-year old girl in Yonkers in August 2004, physically overpowering his victims. He was convicted of first-degree course of sexual conduct against children under the age of 11. Dos Santos is now under the jurisdiction of the Mount Vernon City Police Department.
