MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A man was convicted for a second time in a deadly Mount Vernon robbery after an appeals court reversed the original verdict, according to lohud.com.
Keith Wilkinson, 32, was found guilty Friday in Westchester County Court in the death of Leaton Burke, 38, during a robbery at Burke's home on South 10th Avenue, lohud reported. Police discovered 5 pounds of marijuana and a loaded handgun during a search of the home, according to lohud.
In 2011, Wilkinson was convicted of murder, burglary, robbery, assault and weapons possession, and later received a 25-years-to-life sentence, lohud reported. An appeals court vacated that conviction last year and ordered a new trial, according to lohud.
