MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon Recreation Department is gearing up for its annual Mount Vernon Proud day on Saturday, June 4, at the Doles Community Center. 

Currently, they are in need of vendors and co-sponsors to help make the day of fun and celebration a success. 

Events already planned include a diabetes walk, health screenings, games, food, a children's village and music. 

All non-profits welcome. To register for a vendor spot or to act as a co-sponsor for the event, call Ric Wright, director of athletics at 914-665-2425.
