MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – The Safe Haven Summer Day Program deadline has been extended to provide parents more opportunity to register their children for affordable summer day camps.
The Safe Haven Summer Day Program is designed to provide an enjoyable, safe environment for Mount Vernon students that are between 6 and 12 years old.
The deadline to register for the program has been extended until Friday, June 14.
The summer camp is supervised by experienced directors and counselors, Campers will participate in a series of activities and will go on field trips to Lake Compounce, Splish Splash, Mountain Creek and Regal Cinema.
The program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 8 through Aug. 16 at the Longfellow Elementary School. Those interested in registering for the $400 camp can contact the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau at (914) 665-2344.
