Department of Recreation Holds Special Mother's Day Program

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The City of Mount Vernon Department of Recreation will hold a special Mother's Day program for members of its senior program on Tuesday, May 3 at the Steamboat Restaurant & Lodge.

The event, from 11:30 a.m.to 2:30 p.m., will include lunch, live music on the steel drums and presentations by Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas and others.

To attend, residents must be a member of either the Doles Senior Center or the Armory Senior Center.
