Weekslong Hutchinson River Parkway Lane Closures Start

Motorists planning on traveling on the Hutchinson River Parkway can expect delays of up to 20 minutes for several weeks as contracting crews begin an extensive construction project in the area.

The closures now underway are expected to last through Friday, May 10, leading to lengthy delays.

The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert to Westchester residents, warning that there will be single and double lane closures from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays on the parkway between Exit 7 (North Avenue) and Exit 30 (King Street).

Detours will be posted, according to the NYSDOT and there may be flaggers in the area to help assist traffic.
