The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning that from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. from Tuesday, June 11, through Saturday, June 15, there will be a road closure to allow contracting crews in Westchester to perform construction activities between Slater Street and Grace Church Street in Port Chester.

According to the NYSDOT, there will be a posted detour for motorists to follow, and those in the area can expect delays.

“Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone,” The NYSDOT noted. “In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
