A busy Northern Westchester road will be closed for an extended period, prompting delays in the area.
The New Castle Police Department issued an alert warning that Roaring Brook Road will be closed between Bedford Road and Horace Greeley High School in New Castle on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Police said that the closure was expected to last from 9 a.m. through the middle of the afternoon on Thursday, but has now been extended to 6 p.m., New Castle Police said. The closure had earlier been extended to 4 p.m. before the new change.
During the road work, police said that there will be signage posted and flaggers in the area to assist motorists.
