A 30-year-old woman has been charged with DWI after police say she was found in a stopped vehicle in Northern Westchester.

Yorktown Police say they observed a disabled vehicle stopped on Route 118 in the Town of Yorktown on Thursday, May 30 around 8 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Michelle Louisseize, of Elmsford, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, according to police.

Louisseize also refused a breath test and was driving with a cracked windshield, police say.

Louisseize was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where she was processed and charged with the following:

  • Driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor
  • Refusal to take breath test, a traffic infraction
  • Cracked windshield, a traffic infraction

Louisseize was released on her own recognizance to a responsible party and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, June 13.
