A 22-year-old woman is facing drug possession charged after she was involved in a two-car crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday.
State police from the Hawthorne barracks charged Oriana K. Defeo-Peterson of Harrison, New Jersey, with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree (a Class D felony) and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
During the crash investigation, Defeo-Peterson was found to be in possession of a cocaine and marijuana.
Defeo-Peterson was arraigned in the Town of Mount Pleasant Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail with bail set at $3,000.
