The two teens, each of Port Chester, were spotted struggling in the freezing water by a passerby, who called local police around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.

The couple had gotten themselves and the dog -- who had fallen through the ice -- out of the lake before first responders arrived. They were treated at the scene for hypothermia and then taken to Westchester Medical Center.

Responders included the North White Plains Fire Department, North Castle Police Department and Westchester County Police, who brought an Aviation Unit to help with the investigation.
