Suspect Nabbed For Attempted Murder After Shots Fired In Westchester

A suspect has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a shooting in Westchester that happened last month.

At about 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, New Rochelle Police Department detectives arrested Stephen Hugh, 24 of Yonkers, in connection to the incident on Monday, July 20 when shots were fired in the vicinity of Horton Avenue and Brook Street in New Rochelle.

A subsequent investigation revealed that four shots had been fired from a moving vehicle at several individuals, New Rochelle Police said. No injuries were reported.

Further investigation by New Rochelle Police Detectives resulted in the identification of the vehicle involved, as well as the identification of a suspect

Hugh is awaiting awaiting for the charge of second-degree attempted murder.

The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and the Yonkers Police Department assisted in the investigation, which is ongoing.
