A 28-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly stealing electronics from an area BJ’s location in Northern Westchester, police said.
Officers from the Yorktown Police Department responded to BJ’s Wholesale Club on Route 202 (Cromponnd Road) on Sunday, Jan. 26, where there was a report of a larceny in the past.
According to police, Yorktown resident Michael Goldberg allegedly walked into BJ’s, stole a Samsung tablet with a value of $469.99 and walked out without paying. He turned himself in to police custody this week and was charged with petit larceny.
At the time he turned himself in and he was arrested, Goldberg was allegedly in possession of 2mg Alprazolam pills, and he was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Goldberg was processed and released by police. He is scheduled to appear back in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to respond to the charges.
