Two Generations Of Blue Celebrate Westchester Police Academy Graduation

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Westchester County Police Academy graduation day was a special one for the Hodges family.

John Hodges, chief inspector for the Westchester County Police Department, got to witness his son, also named John, graduate from the academy. The younger Hodges, one of 59 graduates, will become a police officer in White Plains.

Overall, 59 recruits from 15 law enforcement agencies graduated. The graduates are going to work for the Yonkers, White Plains, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Greenburgh, Harrison, Mount Pleasant, Eastchester, Larchmont, Mamaroneck Village and SUNY Purchase police departments in Westchester; along with police departments in Putnam, Manhattan, and Long Island.
