MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. - A family in Hawthorne is looking for the community’s help as they look for a cat that went missing during the Independence Day holiday.

Buddy the cat has been missing since Tuesday.

Buddy, a Maine Coon from Hawthorne, got out without his collar on July 4.

The family described Buddy as "very friendly and approachable."
