Craving a savory, homestyle and made-from-scratch meal? Gleason’s can help.
Named after comic legend Jackie Gleason and nestled comfortably at 911 South Street in Peekskill, Gleason’s serves up everything from signature sourdough pizza and wings to Italian delicacies like eggplant park, beer-braised short ribs and penne bolognaise.
Also available is an array of beer, wine and specialty cocktails. The locale uses what they call an “infusion jar” to blend spirits with fresh, roasted and poached fruits and herbs.
“The Cocktails at Gleason's are as carefully crafted as the food we serve,” explains the eatery’s website. “All the ingredients, many house-made, house-infused, or barrel-aged, are measured out to the quarter ounce…Like our kitchen, our infusions roll with the seasons.”
It’s no surprise that Gleason’s attention to detail and precision has earned it a four-star rating on Yelp with more than 100 reviews. Guests appear to love the food and service quality - and of course, the pizza.
“Classic Bar and Pizza joint! If you want good food and drinks, come on by! PS: gluten-free pizza and a mixture of toppings. Great service and awesome rock music,” writes David N. in a Feb. 10 Yelp review.
Gleason’s is open Tuesday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. For more information, visit the website, and be sure to follow Gleason’s on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates.
