The evening begins at 6 p.m. on July 10 at Kensico Dam Plaza, 1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla, N.Y., with the movie starting at sundown. The series continues on Aug. 7 with a showing of Despicable Me 2.
Admission and parking are free. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets, folding chairs and a picnic. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
“Enjoying a picnic and a movie on the lawn of our very own Kensico Dam Plaza is a great way to bring family and friends together for some fun this summer,” said County Executive Robert P. Astorino in a statement. “I want to thank our many generous sponsors for helping to make these free movie nights possible.”
Organizers will cancel movie in the event of rain.
“The Lego Movie” is the story of Emmet Brickowoski, a layman Lego construction worker propelled into an adventurous journey after accidentally discovering the “Piece of Resistance.” Emmet and his new friends then set out to save Lego universe from a glue-wielding tyrant, Lord Business.
“Entergy Screenings under the Stars” is sponsored by Entergy and Friends of Westchester County Parks, with Lippolis Electric, WFAS 94.3 FM, Westchester Magazine, Hometown Media, New Rochelle Toyota and Scion, and Splash Car Wash.
