Man, 43, Fatally Struck After Breaking Down On I-87 In Westchester
A 43-year-old man from the region was fatally struck after leaving his broken-down car on a busy interstate in Westchester.
The crash occurred just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, in Yonkers, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
At the time of the crash, the victim, identified as 43-year-old Ulster County resident Christopher Colom of Tilson, had been operating a 2011 Honda Accord when his vehicle broke down in the left lane of the highway, police said.

Mamaroneck resident Molly Murphy Donovan, age 43, and her 6-year-old son, Michael Donovan Volpe, were killed in a crash in in Mamaroneck on Thursday, June 20 around 8:30 a.m.
They were struck by a school bus at the intersection of New Street and Mamaroneck Avenue, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department announced on Friday, June 21.

'Fall Cleanup': Dozens Of Motorcycles, Mopeds Impounded In 8-Hour Period In Westchester
In an effort to respond to their number-one complaint from residents, a police department in Westchester worked to impound dozens of unregistered motorcycles, scooters, dirtbikes, and other two-wheeled vehicles over an eight-hour period.
The Yonkers Police Department undertook the effort, which they called a "fall cleanup," on Thursday, Nov. 2 under the direction of Mayor Mike Spano and Police Commissioner Christopher Sapienza.
