MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Election fever came to Mamoraneck High School on Monday as students gathered to stage their own mock caucus on the day voters in Iowa get to kick off the presidential nomination season.
Groups of Mamaroneck students gathered together to chant the name of their candidate, similar to the caucus process voters use in Iowa, among other states, use to select Democratic and Republican candidates.
Students also plan to follow news coverage Monday night and make live calls with caucus-goers, school officials said. They are also getting ready to travel to New Hampshire next week for that state's primary Feb. 9.
