Mamaroneck Student-Athletes Sign College Sport Commitment Letters

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Five star student-athletes from Mamaroneck High School have signed their letters of intent to play college sports.

Their decisions were recognized on Wednesday during a ceremony attended by coaches and parents in Palmer Gymnasium at MHS.

The senior Tiger athletes, and the sports they plan to run in college are:

-- Samuel Morton, who will run cross country at Dartmouth.

-- Lindsay Devore, who will row for the University of Texas crew team.

-- Nina Smoor, who will row for the University of North Carolina crew team.

-- Alexa Cestaro, who will row for the University of Virginia crew team.

-- Andrew Francella, who intends to play baseball at the College of Saint Rose.

Another ceremony is planned in February, according to Mamaroneck school officials, recognizing other Tiger student-athletes who have yet to commit.
