Mamaroneck Grad Benkwitt Selected Football All-Region

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Mamaroneck’s Andrew Benkwitt and Hastings' Ali Marpet were named to the D3Football.com All-East region second-team offense.

Benkwitt, a senior and quarterback for Utica College, had an outstanding season. He completed 254 of 385 passes for 3,143 yards and 31 touchdowns. He had a passing efficiency of 155.93. Benkwitt also was an Empire 8 Conference first-team selection. He was the only Empire 8 quarterback who threw for more than 3,000 yards.

Marpet, a sophomore and offensive tackle, started all 13 games for Hobart, which set a program record with 12 wins. The offense averaged 36 points and 237 rushing yards per game. Marpet also was named to the Liberty League first-team offense.
