A Northern Westchester resident thought he was meeting with a potential buyer for his all-terrain vehicle when instead he was robbed at gunpoint.

The incident took place in Yorktown late Tuesday, June 25, at the victim's Columbine Court home where he had made arrangement on a social media marketplace site to potentially sell the ATV, said the Yorktown Police Department.

When the potential buyers arrived, they allegedly displayed what appeared to be a firearm, and forcibly stole the ATV, the department said.

One suspect drove away in a vehicle, the other on the ATV. The victim was uninjured and called police minutes after the incident.

One suspect, Brandon Dean, 27, of the Bronx, was eventually apprehended by the Westchester County Police Department and the Mount Pleasant Police Department in the Town of Mount Pleasant, Yorktown Police said.

 The ATV was recovered.

"Our investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest the second suspect," the department said.

Dean was charged with felony robbery and is being held at the Westchester County Jail on $25,000 bail/$50,000 bond.

Yorktown police said people wanting to sell items, can use parking spaces at the police department headquarters that are dedicated to completing internet exchange purchases.
