A man entered a CVS in Inwood at 5:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

The CVS is located at 530 Burnside Ave.

The suspect reportedly went to the refrigerated items section.

An employee recognized him as someone who had stolen merchandise in the past and watched the man put the cans of Red Bull into his backpack and try to exit the store without paying, NCPD said.

When the employee approached the suspect, he shoved the employee with his elbow and left the store, authorities said.

NCPD said the man fled the scene in a gray Toyota sedan in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.

NCPD said the suspect is described as being a white man between the ages of 25 and 30, and he is about 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds.

Police said the man was last seen wearing a green shirt, camouflage shorts, a black hat, red and white sneakers. He was also wearing an American flag facemask and a black backpack.
