MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Village of Mamaroneck police and volunteer firefighters responded to a report of chemical odors on Thursday afternoon.
Mamaroneck police said there was a report of chemical fumes inside a building at 740 Boston Post Road in the village shortly after 2 p.m. A female occupant of the building complained about having a headache and burning eyes.
Firefighters and Emergency Medical Services personnel offered assistance but the "victim refused medical aid" at the scene, according to Sgt. Sandra DiRuzza, a spokeswoman for the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department.
The odor was "possibly related to construction in the building," DiRuzza said.
An investigation of the cause is continuing.
