MAMARONECK, N.Y. – A man driving north on Mamaroneck Avenue swerved into oncoming traffic near Saxon Woods Drive causing a fatal head-on collision on Saturday, according to a report by News12.
The driver of the Cadillac had a health issue while driving Saturday afternoon, causing the car to scrape against the center guard rail. He continued to accelerate until he reached the opening in the guard rail near the Interstate 95 entrance ramp, where the car swerved into southbound traffic, hitting the black jeep, according to the report.
The driver of the Cadillac was pronounced dead after unsuccessful attempts at CPR. The other driver also suffered injuries, News 12 reports.
