Breaking News: COVID-19: Cases Of More Contagious South African Strain Have Now Been Reported In These States

Noel McGarvey Henigson, 83, Of Larchmont, Owned Henigson’s Lumber Company

LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Noel McGarvey Henigson (Ronnie) of Larchmont died Feb. 16. She was 83.

Henigson was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Margaretville, to Joseph P. McGarvey and Agnes W McGarvey. A graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, she was an R.N. in both the Emergency Room and Recovery Room at United Hospital from 1974 to 1984.

Henigson was the owner of Henigson's Lumber Company in Larchmont. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Women's Club of Larchmont for 35 years. She volunteered at The Discovery Shop of the American Cancer Society for 10 years.

Henigson is survived by her daughters, Dr. Valerie Henigson of Greenwich, Conn., Linda Stanley (J. Thomas) of Chicago, Ill.; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Henigson.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Larchmont. Reception to follow.
