LARCHMONT, N.Y. - Margaret G. Collins, a long time resident of Larchmont, died Oct. 29. She was 90.
Collins was born July 13, 1923, in Larchmont, to Elizabeth and Richard Grube. She lived there most of her life attending Chatsworth Avenue grammar school and was a 1941 graduate of Mamaroneck High school. She was the Village of Larchmont court clerk from 1966 to 1986 serving under five judges. She worked during World War II as a weapons ordinance inspector for Hoe Co. in the Bronx.
Collins is survived by her sons, Thomas (Janet) of Ridge and Michael (Dianne) of St. James; sisters, Beatrice (James) Walsh of New Rochelle and Ruth (Charles) Green of Pelham; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Collins of New Rochelle; and brothers, Richard and Ernest.
Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Larchmont. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the funeral home. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle.
