MAMARONECK, N.Y. Residents will have plenty of opportunities to get involved in their local government this week.
The village board of trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the courtroom, where it will consider a resolution to increase summer camp fees for 2012 by 15.55 percent. Under the resolution, fees for early registration would increase from $652 to $753 for kindergarteners, $728 to $841 for first through sixth graders, $810 to $936 for seventh through ninth graders and $112 to $129 for early drop-off. Regular registration fees would increase from $744 to $859 for kindergarteners, $820 to $947 for first through sixth graders, $902 to $1,042 for seventh through ninth graders and $143 to $165 for early drop-off. The town coastal zone management commission will meet at 8 p.m. in the town center.
The town board of architectural review will meet at 8 p.m. in conference room C.
The village flood mitigation advisory committee will meet 7 p.m. in the Regatta.
The village planning board will meet at 7 p.m. in the courtroom.
The village recreation and parks commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the Harbor Island Pavilion.
The town zoning board of appeals will meet at 7:45 p.m. in conference room C of town hall, to consider seven applications, including one requesting a variance to legalize an existing fourth and fifth apartment in a legal three-family residence on 38 Lester Place. For the full agenda, click here.
The town traffic committee will meet at 8 p.m. in the town courtroom to consider installing a "Do Not Block Exit" sign by the Hommocks Park Apartments exit. Town Clerk Christina Battalia sent Town Administrator Stephen Altieri an e-mail Jan. 17 stating that traffic during Hommocks Middle School drop off and pick up time makes it difficult to leave the Hommocks Park Apartments and enter Hommocks Road, requesting signage be posted.
