Monday, April 9

Larchmont Beautification Committee Meeting: 9:30 a.m. The committee will discuss the sidewalk sales from June 7-9 and planting dates for the summer. Larchmont Village Hall, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Larchmont–Mamaroneck Senior Center Art Show: All day. This is the 39th annual exhibit featuring the works of 25 seniors attending the art class led by artist and instructor Patricia Sutherland. Artworks in oil, watercolors, acrylic, pastels and graphic pencil will be hung in the Orseman Gallery throughout April. Larchmont Library, 120 Larchmont Ave.

Dinosaur Stomp: 10 a.m. (ages 2–3) and 11 a.m. (ages 4–6). Join Paulene Greeman at the Larchmont Library for dinosaur songs, dinosaur stories and much more. To register, call 834-2281. Larchmont Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.

Tuesday, April 10

The Play and the Movie: 10 a.m. Read the play then watch the movie at the Larchmont Library. Robert Goldstone continues his movie discussions with "Separate Tables." Based on a play by Terrance Rattigan, "Separate Tables" includes an all-star cast — David Niven, Deborah Kerr, Burt Lancaster and Rita Hayworth — as characters whose lives intermingle at a British seaside hotel. Copies of the play are available on the Book Group Shelf in the reference room. Larchmont Library, 120 Larchmont Ave.

Stories and Tales: 2:15 p.m. This interactive story time at the Larchmont Library helps foster children's interest in literacy through fun, interesting tales. There is another session at 10 a.m. Thursdays. Registration is not required. This program is for ages 3 and 4, and a parent or caregiver must attend.

Outrage–hisss Pets: 3 p.m. (ages 3–5) and at 3:45 p.m. (ages 6 and up). Wild animals that you'd never see in your backyard will be at this Larchmont Library program, sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library. To register, call 834–2281.

Wednesday, April 11

Young and Restless: 10:30 a.m. The Larchmont Library presents an early literacy program for toddlers (ages 1½-3) and babies (ages 3 months-1½). The toddler program begins at 10:30 a.m., the baby program at 11:15 a.m.

Say It With Flowers — Silk Flower Making: 3:30 p.m. Join local artist Lessie Martinez at the Larchmont Library to create beautiful, wearable silk flowers. This program is for ages 7 and up. To register call 834–2281.

Thursday, April 12

The Green Golly Project Presents Green Golly and her Golden Flute: 11 a.m. A Parents' Choice Award–winning introduction to the beautiful world of classical music and storytelling with a hilarious tale based on Rapunzel. This program is for ages 4 and up and is sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library. Registration is not required. Larchmont Library.

2nd and 3rd Grade Book Group: 3:30 pm. Review and discuss the book of the month, "The Cat on the Mat is Flat" by Andy Griffiths, at the Larchmont Library. Books will be available on the Book Group Shelf in the reference room on the main floor.
