Hurricane Sandy cost the town of Mamaroneck $227,305 by the time it stormed out of town last month, the town board said Monday night.
The majority of that bill went to clean up about 5,000 pounds of debris scattered by the storm.
The Board recently met with the Federal Emergency Management Association expects to get some of the costs back. The town is still getting FEMA money for its cleanup from Irene, which ripped through the town in 2011.
Town Supervisor Nancy Seligson said that some residents ;lost power for two weeks after Sandy, but that everyone appeared to have power now.
