Mamaroneck Schools Budget Approval Tops News This Week

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Mamaroneck and Larchmont this week:

• Voters passed the Mamaroneck schools $131.8 million budget Tuesday night and re-elected one trustee and elected a new trustee in uncontested elections, according to unofficial results.
• Assistant Principal Joanne Hindley will be the next principal of Mamaroneck's Central School.
• Voters passed the Rye Neck Schools $39.9 million budget Tuesday night and re-elected two trustees who ran unopposed.
• The Walgreens at Boston Post Road and Hommocks Road will be holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new store.
