- Mamaroneck High School graduate David O. Russell's film "American Hustle" earned 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and all best actor and actress categories. Russell was nominated for Best Director.
- New Rochelle murder victim, Keita Speed is believed to have had 'personal differences' with attackers, according to police officials.
- An audiotape of a radio interview that is believed to be Adam Lanza made one year prior to the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, Conn., was published by the New York Daily News on Thursday.
