Breaking News: Westchester Resident Charged With Felony DWI After Crash Splits Telephone Pole In Half

Angelina Forti, 83, of Larchmont

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Angelina Covino Forti, 83, of Larchmont, died April 5 at Greenwich Hospital after a brief illness. 

She was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Port Chester, to Nicola and Costanza Covino. Along with her siblings Connie, Emma and Nicolina, she grew up on Willow Street and attended local schools. Forti graduated from Port Chester High School and proudly attended all of her high school reunions. She took great joy in seeing her childhood friends. 

Forti was employed by New York Telephone Co. On June 15 1952, she married Dominick James Forti, Sr. in Holy Rosary Church.  

She is survived by a son, Andrew; two daughters, Donna and Janine; two grandchildren; two sons-in-law; a sister-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick; a son, Dominick, Jr.; and a sister, Concetta Bisignano. 

Visiting hours are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Sts. John and Paul Church. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle.
