MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Summer is a time of beaches, barbecues and - if the Mamaroneck Library has its way - books.
The library's Dig Into Reading program for children in kindergarten through sixth grade kicks off Monday. The program is a game for kids to track how much reading they do during the summer.
Children can sign up at the library and receive a log to fill out. They can then visit the library regularly to report their progress.
The program, which runs through Aug. 17, concludes with and end of summer reading celebration in September.
