Larchmont Steakhouse Gets 'Good' Review In New York Times

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The August opening in Larchmont of Estancia Buenos Aires was low-key, the restaurant's Argentine fare is "homey," and its ambiance is, "welcoming," according to the New York Times in a review of the restaurant.

The traditional food is its "most memorable" and "without fuss," items like empanadas, Angus skirt steak, potato pie, and caramel flan, the report said.

The restaurant is owned by Gerardo Pulega and Edelmira Ibarra-Pulega, said the article.

Gerardo presides over the kitchen, preparing recipes from his mother, and there are inspirations from Italian immigrants anong the Argentine offerings, like ravioli and cannelloni, said the New York Times.
