The Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia will also perform Carle’s “Little Cloud” and “The Mixed-Up Chameleon.”

Performances are set for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at the theater, located at 153 Library Lane, Mamaroneck. They are appropriate for ages 3 and up.

“The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is the story of a tiny, but very hungry, caterpillar who munches his way through different foods on his way to turning into a butterfly.

“Little Cloud” follows the adventures of a cloud as it transforms into the shapes of a sheep, an airplane, a shark, and other things it sees.

In “The Mixed-Up Chameleon,” the main character, bored with predictably changing color all day, sets off on an adventure. Upon seeing the beautiful animals in a zoo, the little critter tries to look like each one.
