“The kick-off of the 125th anniversary is here,” Peter “Bubba” Fanelli, Village of Larchmont Trustee and Larchmont 125 board member said. “The first Larchmont Day celebration will be filled with fun and exciting activities for the whole family. Do not miss this party.”
Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with an interfaith service at St. Augustine's Church, with a "coffee house" to follow in the church cafeteria.
Larchmont native Kevin O'Keefe will perform his one-man act "Circus Minimus" in St. Augustine's Msgr. Kenny Hall at noon.
From 1 to 4 p.m., the inaugural Larchmont Day Street Festival will take over Larchmont Avenue from Poston Post Road to Cherry Avenue The festival will feature food vendors, Big Trucks, music, dancing, games prizes, food and contests for yo-yo, bubble gum blowing, limbo, pie baking and eating and more.
The 13th annual Larchmont Arts Festival will run alongside the street fest from 1 to 5 p.m. at Constitution Park.
For Larchmont 125 Founders, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at The Bevan House from 5 to 7 p.m. A dinner dance at Larchmont Shore Club will follow at 7 p.m.
