CROSS RIVER, N.Y. The head of the guidance department at John Jay High School announced his resignation Thursday.
Christopher Griffin, director of guidance, told school officials he is leaving to take a position with the Scarsdale School District.
We wish Mr. Griffin well in his new role and thank him for the contributions he has made to our high school students and the guidance department, said Paul Kreutzer, superintendent for the Katonah-Lewisboro School District.
Kreutzer said the district will conduct interviews in the coming weeks to find a replacement for Griffin.
We will continue to share updates on any new appointments that are made, he said.
Griffin began his tenure with the Katonah-Lewisboro School District when he was appointed to the guidance director post in August 2008.
