Lewisboro Seniors Slate January Events at Firehouse

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The Lewisboro Senior Adults have set their schedule of events for the month of January.

The group meets every Wednesday, starting at 10 a.m., at the South Salem firehouse on Route 35. Annual membership dues are $10.

This month’s activities include:

JAN. 4

11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. – Visiting nurse will be on hand for blood pressure and sugar screening. No sign-ups after 12:30 p.m.

1 p.m. – Medicare update from Flo Bradley

2 p.m. – Jug band rehearsal

JAN. 11

11 a.m. – Executive board meeting

Noon – Pot luck lunch; bring a dish you can share with 10 people

JAN. 18

11 a.m. –  Book Club meets. The group is discussing “Cutting for Stone” by Abraham Verghese. Call Pam Veith at (914) 232-6162 for more information.

1 p.m. – Cards, games and chit-chat

2 p.m. – Jug band rehearsal

JAN. 25

11 a.m. – Jug band rehearsal

11 a.m. – Knitting group meets
