Hundreds Without Power in Lewisboro

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – NYSEG is reporting that over one-third of its customers in Lewisboro are without power, there are no estimates as to when power will be restored.

Lewisboro Town Supervisor Charles Duffy, told The Daily Lewisboro there are dozens of downed trees and power lines, and he’s urging residents to avoid travel on local roadways where possible, travel is hazardous.

NYSEG reports that 1,437 customers are without power in South Salem, of the 2,913 it serves. There are 89 customers without power in Goldens Bridge, of the 831 that NYSEG serves, and 14 customers in Cross River are without power, out of 641 NYSEG households.

Duffy said Department of Public Works crews are actively trying to clear roadways.
