Elizabeth Long Lang, a 2004 graduate of Fox Lane High School in Bedford, was diagnosed with melanoma stage 2b in December 2015. Despite surgery, the cancer spread to her liver, and even with insurance, expenses are mounting.
The mother of baby boy Soren, she's also exploring a combination of immunotherapy drugs at Memorial Sloan Kettering, seeing a holistic doctor and getting acupuncture.
She's adhering to a strict vegan diet, juicing everyday, taking supplements and checking into other alternative medicines.
