Letter: Donohue Is Best Choice For Lewisboro Clerk

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The Lewisboro Daily Voice accepts signed, original letters to the editor. To submit your letter, email bdumas@dailyvoice.com.

To the Editor:

From her appointment as deputy town clerk, a job she held for four years, Janet Donohue was unanimously appointed by the Lewisboro Town Board to step up to town clerk when Kathy Cory retired. Town Board members knew who they were appointing. They worked with Janet!

Janet brought innovation to www.lewisborogov.com, the town's website. Agendas are posted for upcoming Town Board meetings, as well as the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Architecture and Community Appearance Review Council. Notices of organization agendas and institutions in the town make the website an open government for residents.

Janet is involved in school activities, the Two Lakes Club, her homeowners' association and the Three Lakes Conservation Council. Janet got NYSEG involved when her neighbors were awaiting power and phone service following Hurricane Irene.

Janet is competent, confident, prepared, personable, sensitive, trustworthy, sincere and a friend. We are voting for Janet on Nov. 6 to officially elect her Lewisboro's town clerk.
