Tucci, a true New Yorker, turns 55 Nov. 11.

Born in Peekskill, Tucci grew up in Katonah and went to John Jay High School. He graduated from SUNY Purchase, where he majored in acting. He owned a home in South Salem for almost a decade, selling it in 2014.

His first professional role came through high school friend Campbell Scott, son of actors George C. Scott and Colleen Dewhurst. Dewhurst arranged in 1982 for both men to have roles in a Broadway play she was co-starring in, "The Queen and the Rebels."

Since then, he has had considerable success with one or more movies under his belt almost every year since his debut in "Prizzi’s Honor."

He is known for his work in "The Pelican Brief," "Beethoven," "Kiss of Death," "Road to Perdition" and "Big Night," and in the television series "Murder One."

Tucci performed in three films released this year: "Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant;" "Spotlight," and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2." He is filming "Patient Zero" for release in 2016 and "Beauty and the Beast," 2017.

The father of three children and two stepchildren, he and wife Felicity Blunt became parents in January of a son, Matteo Oliver.
