Winter Wolves: 11 a.m. Join the Wolf Conservation Center to learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why this season is such a magical time for packs in North America. Guests will visit ambassador wolves Alawa and Zephyr, as well as the centers's critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Guests will enjoy hot beverages in its woodstove-heated classroom. Dress for the cold weather. Cost is $15 for adults and $12 for kids under 12. Registration is required. Lewisboro Library Folk Concert Series: 8 p.m. As part of its ongoing folk series concerts, the Lewisboro Library presents Joy Kills Sorrow. The Boston-based string band brings a decidedly modern sensibility to an old-world sound, channeling the talents of its individual members into elegant arrangements and well-crafted songs. Admission prices for adults are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Seniors are $12 at the door and children 12 and younger are free. Artic Fest: Wings and Wolves: Noon The Wolf Conservation Center’s Arctic Fest: Wings and Wolves will allow guests to learn about the harsh habitat that some very special animals call home. Master falconer, Brian Bradley of Skyhunters in Flight, will present his feathered ambassadors that call the high arctic home and will do a flight demonstration too. Guests also will visit resident arctic gray wolf Atka and of course the center’s other ambassador wolves, Zephyr and Alawa, as well as its critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves.
