"This is the 15th year that we've been doing it," Ruth Mendes told Daily Voice. She's the corresponding secretary for the PRBA.

"It started as just a small group, with caroling, nice food and hot drinks," she added. "And it's developed, now, into a real happening, because of the work of Anna and her helping hand Justin."

Anna DiPace-Zullo and Justin Brent are the event's co-chairs.

"Everyone is welcome," Medes added. "We hope that a lot of people come take advantage of this small-town event."

Here's the evening's schedule:

  • 4 p.m. -- a short performance at the Pound Ridge School of Dance, 69 Westchester Ave.
  • 4:30 p.m. -- Booksy Galore, 67 Westchester Ave., is hosting a reading of "Twas the Night before Christmas," with treats and surprises
  • 4-5 p.m. -- toasting marshmallows at Antiques & Tools of Business & Kitchen, then to Cottage Antiques, behind Blind Charlie's Cafe, to make Christmas ornaments
  • 5 p.m. -- "the Illumination of Pound Ridge" and caroling led by Peter Malinverni at the Pound Ridge Firehouse

There also will be special visits by Spot the Dog and, of course, Santa Claus, and participants can warm up with refreshments including zeppole, cookies, hot chocolate and cider.

"These events aren't just to celebrate the holiday, but also to introduce people to our town," Mendes said. "It will be a really lovely event, Saturday."
