The following classes are open:
- Genealogy Basics and Beyond, 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 4, with Suzanne Garbardini, who will lead this workshop for beginner and intermediate genealogists. She'll discuss organization and documentation, as well as sources and how to locate them.
- Downloading Books to Your iPad or iPhone, 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6. Learn how to download free eBooks and audiobooks using the Westchester Library System's free download services. Participants must know their Apple ID and password.
- Fiction Writing Workshop, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays Oct. 6 through 27 with local author Kim Kovach. Writers will explore character, setting, point-of-view and dialogue through in-class writing assignments.
- Demystifying Medicare and Healthcare Coverage for Seniors from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7.
- Growing Vegetables Year Round, 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, sponsored by The Lewisboro Garden Club with Master Gardener Nick Mancini. The talk will focus on how to extend your gardening season through the cold weather by building and using a cold frame. Nick Mancini is a Certified Master Gardener from the Cooperative Extension System of the University of Connecticut. To register, email Lewisborogardenclub@outlook.com.
- Trivia Night Friday, is planned at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 16. Compete against your neighbors to see who knows the most about books, movies, history, music, sports and pop culture. Register as a team or individually.
